I met George in Oakland
I met George in Oakland,California, we were on the same flight to Vietnam and sat next to each other on the plane. He were with several other friends from Guam Joe Meno and Frank…can’t remember his last name. The highlight of the trip. was when we stopped to refuel on Guam. He would not see it again. We all stayed together while processing at the 90th Replacement Battalion in Long Binh and we’re eventually assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division up at An Khe where he was assigned to the 5th Cavalry Regiment and I went to the 7th.During the short time we were together I found him to be a very nice person to hang out with, may he rest in peace.
